Missouri Health Literacy Enhancement Program Resource Inventory

In support of the Missouri Health Literacy Enhancement Program mission of providing access to plain language health information and offering educational resources to help providers communicate effectively with patients, a resource inventory is being developed. In the meantime, you can:

• Search for easy to read information on a disease or health topic on the MedlinePlus, FDA, familydoctor.org and Planetree sites.
  
• Search MedlinePlus for patient/health information in over 40 languages.
• Ask a Question . We can help you locate appropriate materials for communicating effectively with patients from various cultural backgrounds and reading abilities. We can recommend materials to health providers and media to increase understanding of health literacy topics.

The Missouri Foundation for Health is funding the creation of a inventory of materials to support the advancement of health literacy in Missouri. Provide your email address if you'd like to be notified when the inventory is available for searching. In the meantime, you can:

• Tell us what kinds of material you'd like to see included in the inventory.
  Suggest a specific resource to be included in the inventory.
• Volunteer as a usability tester
