Getting citations into Reference Manager from OVID Databases
Import (Reference Manager 9.5)

(Netscape Windows Users):

• After running a search in Ovid, scroll down to the Citation Manager.
• Under Fields , choose: Complete Reference.
• Under Citation Format , choose: Reprint/Medlars.
• Click the Save button.
• Choose Windows Style Linefeeds and press Continue.
• Specify a filename.txt and location to save the file.
• Logoff of Ovid.

Importing Saved Ovid Web Documents into Reference Manager (Netscape):

• Open Reference Manager.
• Choose File/Open database for an existing database or File/New database to create a new one.
• Choose References...Import text file .
• On the next screen, click on the ... button next to Filter to browse and select the correct Ovid Filter:
  • Use OVID ONLINE(Reprint) [AJ].cap to capture abbreviated journal names.
  • Use OVID ONLINE(Reprint) [FJ].cap to capture journal names spelled out in full.
• Click on the ... button next to Text file to browse and select the filename.txt you saved in Ovid.
• Click Import to transfer the references into a Reference Manager database.
