Getting citations into Reference Manager from OVID Databases

With Ovid's Direct Export, you no longer have to save references in Ovid and then import them into Reference Manager. You can run a search using all the capabilities of Ovid and save the references you select into Reference Manager in a single step.

If you have not already done so, create the database in Reference Manager where you want to import the references. (You can also put them in an existing Reference Manager database.)

Search Ovid Web as you normally would:

1. Scroll down to the Results Manager .
2. Under Fields , choose Complete Reference .
3. Under Citation Format, choose Direct Export .
4. Under Action, click Save .

After a few moments, you may be asked to select or confirm the version of Reference Manager you're using.

Select the Reference Manager database where the references should go.

The program should do the rest!
