Getting citations into EndNote from WorldCat

The WorldCat Export function is the easiest way to capture book citations for an Endnote database. Unlike MERLIN, there is no need to save your results first; just mark the items you want and use the export feature to copy them into Endnote.
  1. If you have not already done so, create the library in EndNote where you want to import the references. (You can also put them in an existing EndNote library.)
  2. Search WorldCat as you normally would.
  3. Place check marks in the boxes next to the references you want to put in Endnote.
  4. Click on the Export icon.
  5. Export: Marked records from this search
  6. Export to: Endnote
  7. Click the Export button. Select Open from the File Download pop-up box.
  8. You will be asked to select and open the EndNote library where the references should go.
  9. Choose an import filter: Worldcat(OCLC)
The program should do the rest!
