Interlibrary Loan for Non-affiliates

How can I check to see which materials are available at the library?

Check the MERLIN catalog to determine if the Health Sciences Library (MU HSL) owns the material.

How can I place a request for materials?

Requests are accepted via the DOCLINE and OCLC Interlibrary Loan systems.

Loansome Doc requesting via PubMed is also available to non-affiliates.

For patrons that do not have access to these systems, the Registration for Non-MU Affiliates Form is the means of getting an account created in the MU Libraries ILL@MU Interlibrary Loan system to be used to request materials.

How long does it take?

Most requests for photocopied articles are received and processed within two business days.

If the request is needed sooner, a rush service is available. Please phone or fax to alert the Interlibrary Loan Dept to rush requests.

Is there a charge for Interlibrary Loan?

Yes, non-affiliates pay a fee for each article or book that is ordered.
