Pin Number

• Viewing your circulation record, renewing items online, and getting books from other MERLIN libraries requires a PIN number.
• The first time you use the "Request this Item" function or VIEW your circulation record in the online catalog, you create your own PIN (personal identification number). 
• We suggest that you use a number or name you can easily remember. Your PIN can consist of numbers or letters, and should be four or more characters long.
• If you forget your PIN number, it can be changed at the Circulation Desk.
  

To create your own Pin Number:

1. Connect to the MERLIN Library Catalog .
2. Select the option: My Library Account
3. Enter your name.
4. Enter your ID number:
   • Faculty and Staff: enter zero + EMPL ID + c
     Example: 012345678c
   • MU students: enter social security number + c
     Example:123456789c
5. Enter your PIN Number (at least four characters).
6. Submit
7. Enter your PIN number a second time.
8. Submit.
